Cowameca

Created for the 2024 Junk Kouture competition, Cowameca is a fully sustainable garment inspired by my Colombian heritage. Made from coffee filters and beans donated by a local café, along with flower stems and twine from a neighborhood florist, the design reflects my commitment to storytelling through sustainability.

Blending traditional influence with bold silhouette work, Cowameca represents a vision of circular fashion rooted in cultural pride. The piece was named a New York City World Finalist and proudly represented NYC at the World Final in Monaco.
