Unbuttoned

This garment was developed from the prompt of reimagining the classic button-down shirt. I transformed the structure of a traditional men's dress shirt into a fluid, fashion-forward silhouette that blends tailoring with ease. Featuring navy and white pinstripes, extended proportions, and asymmetrical closures, the piece plays with contrast—both in shape and styling. Sharp collar and cuff details remain as nods to its origin, while the high-low hem and dramatic back extension introduce movement and modernity. This design reflects my interest in deconstruction and recontextualizing everyday garments through a feminine lens.
